I am a lifetime member of The Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy (viktorfranklinstitute.org) based in Abilene Texas where I am the Education Consultant and on the faculty of The Distance Learning Program. I moderated our Clinical Colloquium on Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (LTEA) and Community Trauma at the 19th World Congress held in Dallas Texas.

In addition to teaching courses in Franklian Psychology, I am a mentor and supervisor of Diplomate Projects. There are many inspirational books by Viktor Frankl. Among my most treasured are Man's Search for Meaning and Man's Search for Ultimate Meaning.

Extensive Academic Education:
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and English, a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

I also studied at the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy in Abilene, Texas where I earned an Academic Associate Credential and Diplomate in Logotherapy. I am an accredited member of the International Association of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis at the Viktor Frankl Institute Vienna.

Prior to my studies in psychology, I obtained a nursing diploma from Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing in Camden, New Jersey.

Although I worked in many different hospital settings such as Orthopedics, Medical-Surgical and Cardiac-Pulmonary specialties, the majority of my experience was in Mental Health. My psychology internships in graduate school took place at two different VA hospitals where I worked with veterans suffering from PTSD and other combat related issues.

After graduating from Michigan State University with a PhD in Psychology, I taught psychology courses in higher education institutions such as Michigan State University in East Lansing Michigan. I also chaired a Psychology and Social Science Department atSimpson College in Indianola, Iowa and was Assistant Administrator of the Counseling and Testing Center at The University of North Carolina, Pembroke where I also counseled students and faculty.

I also worked in Private Practice and was a Mental Health Specialist for the American Red Cross and their Disaster Relief Team. Courses I taught include Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theory, Psychology of Women, Gender Differences, Social Psychology, and Adulthood and Aging.

My Doctoral Dissertation explored Memory, Health and Social Support in the Able Elderly. I have also written a play about Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy and the similarities between the search for meaning and the 12 Step programs of recovery from alcohol and other addictions.

I Love Helping You Succeed!
Finally, without a doubt, my greatest joys are people. I love being a grandmother (I have three fabulous grandchildren!), I appreciate my old and new friends and I am continually inspired by my students and clients. As Viktor Frankl so wisely said, "Life has meaning to the last breath," and I intend to give the best I have to offer each and every day! I am truly blessed.

Have you read this far? You must have a deep desire for a more meaningful life!
